Why are we here?
We created TravelFriends with the thought of people, who enjoy spending their time off in good company - no matter, whether you are single or you have a partner, it’s always livelier, more cheerfully and safer to have fun together with your Friends. Nothing brings us together in a better way and nothing enables you to get to know the other person better than traveling together. A wrongly matched Travel Partner can change your best expedition into a nightmare; this is why it is so important to be together with people, who you know, enjoy being with and who you trust. And that is the main reason why you have TravelFriends: so that before any trip or going out you could find, get to know and make friends with those, who you will choose to spend the best ever time!

You will find here the newest information about places that the other TravelFriends users are recommending and instead of long articles or boring elaborates you will find short and proven advice about where, when and what the best way to do it is!:-) Subjective but honest at least! • Searching for a room mate? - Great! Now YOU are deciding who you will be living with. Do not let the tour operators decide for yourself!
• Are you by chance in a new environment (e.g. you have just moved to another location) and would you like to meet people from your area? Remember to enter the name of your town/city/district you are living in or where you are intending to go to and then use the Search option to find people who you are looking for.
• Do you want to live in a single room and are you searching for some companions so that you just felt livelier during your holiday? - Great! Register on TravelFriends and mark the right options in the Registration Form. Then you can simply start talking to others.
• Have you already planned your trip but you are still missing the proven information about the place you are going to? As a TravelFriends user you gain the possibility to obtain it directly from people who have already been there. In Traveller’s Guide you will find out what the other Users' opinions are. You can also share your knowledge and your opinion about the places you have visited and you are advising to go to or – on the contrary - you are discouraging to visit. This option is useful especially for not only the holidaymakers, but also for those who are changing their location because of a new job and they want to know more about their new place of stay.
• Have you seen lots, have you visited many places and do you enjoy taking pictures? Show them to your TravelFriends! - as a registered User you get your private Gallery, where you can place the photos you have taken. Thanks to you the other TravelFriends Users will gain a wider and richer perspective when looking at the world. Do not let your friends and colleagues forget you when you are on vacations and place your newest pictures from your holidays or your recent party in your Gallery.

A place for you - the rules that need to be remembered
Thanks to TravelFriends you can anonymously talk to the other people: remember that you do not need to give out any personal details - the reason why we created this portal is so that you can feel safe here.

Register on TravelFriends by using our Registration Form. Use your unique login, which will belong only to yourself: from now on this is your Username, which you will use each time when you want to communicate with people you are interested in. Because of safety reasons we are advising not to give out any personal contact information (like your last name, email address, telephone number or your address) neither any other personal details until you have talked to this person at least a few times using TravelFriends messaging system. Then possibly you can give out your telephone number. If you decide to meet another TravelFriends User we suggest you meet in a public place, where more people are around and you are visible to the others; it is also advisable to let other friends know where you are going and when you are supposed to be back. To make it simple: remember your common sense and trust your intuition. If you feel that you do not want to meet somebody face to face then listen to your mind and don't go.

Do not become disheartened with this advice. This is all obvious and relates to all possible meetings with new people. It doesn't matter where you meet them for the first time - on the Internet or in some other place - always use your common sense and do not trust them until you know them well. TravelFriends has been created especially so that you feel comfortable in your preliminary communication with the other members and so that you don’t have the necessity to give out your personal information. Relax and enjoy.

At the same time remember to be honest with those, who you may spend your free time with and honestly answer the questions in the Registration Form. You also want to know who truly are the people you will be spending at least a few hours or days with, don't you?

Highly we advise to put your picture on your profile -  you would like to know what the person you will be spending the time with looks like. The other person also wants to get to know you, so just give her/him a chance. It is proved that people who have their pictures on their profiles, are more popular and it is faster for them to find new friends.

Can anybody join TravelFriends?
Every adult person (over 18 years old) can be a TravelFriends User. Just register and join us! Choose your username, fill in the registration form, write a few words in addition about yourself and you really don't need anything more to search for people who you would like to spend your free time with. The profile you created you can edit at anytime you want. The Search tool will help you find those who you are looking for. However TravelFriends is not open for people who are selling their products or are advertising any products or services. If you find such a profile or information, we would appreciate if you contacted us about it and such a profile and all such kind of information will be immediately deleted.

How much does it cost to join TravelFriends?
Joining and using TravelFriends is completely FREE! When you join us, with no costs and no limits you can send your messages to the other Users, share your travel experience and find all the proven information that any book guide will not provide, you can have your own Gallery of pictures and you can also check who visited your profile. How many people during a month can I find as my companions to spend together some free time?
Everything depends on you. The more active you are within TravelFriends community, the more chance you get to find your free time companions. If you are detailed when answering the questions from the Registration Form, you gain more chance that a person, who likes your profile, will find you. In addition if you are active in researching the Users, who meet your criteria and you talk lots to the others, it is possible that you will gather a group of people who you will spend your free time.

How does it work?
As a registered TravelFriends User you gain your opportunity to create your own profile with a main picture and your Gallery of pictures, where for instance you can place your memories from your last vacations or trips or a party you remember especially. On TravelFriends you can meet friends 24 hours a day and you can personally pick or choose your aim from this: Social (New friends are always welcome), Romantic (I'm looking for the only one) or maybe you just want to have more time to make a decision (Time alone will tell). With the use of the searching tool find the people who meet your criteria. We all know that no one is perfect, but certainly you have got a few points, which are important for you when choosing a TravelFriend (or maybe not only a travel - Friend). Don't be too limited in preferences, but indulge yourself at the same time and choose for your companions people who you know you will have fun with! Ready?
